- Apply a pea-sized amount of Plantscription™ Retinol Night Moisturizer, avoiding the eye area. Apply every other night for the first two weeks, then every night. Apply sunscreen during application and for one week afterwards and limit sun exposure.
- When using the product, remember: Retinol is a very effective and powerful anti-aging ingredient known and used by professionals. You may experience slight redness, a feeling of warmth, tingling or peeling (exfoliation) of the skin. Such discomfort is a normal temporary indication that the formula is working.
- If you experience more discomfort each night, reapply Plantscription™ Retinol Overnight Moisturizer every other night until the skin adjusts; this process can take up to four weeks.
- If you are using the product for the first time or have dry skin, we recommend applying Plantscription™ Retinol Night Moisturizer every other night for longer than two weeks to give your skin time to adjust. For added comfort, use a gentle cleansing lotion and apply an additional layer of moisturizer on top of Plantscription™ Retinol Night Moisturizer.
- Limit sun exposure in general. Be sure to use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher while using the product during the day and for one week after you stop using Plantscription™ Retinol Night Moisturizer. Remember that weather conditions such as extreme wind or cold can increase irritation, so take appropriate precautions to protect your face.
