Cavo patch in fibra ottica ROLINE in qualità OM4 per un cablaggio in fibra ottica ad alte prestazioni nella qualità superiore ROLINE.
La fibra OM4 è una fibra ottimizzata da 50µm con larghezza di banda estesa. Viene utilizzata per migliorare le prestazioni del sistema per le applicazioni esistenti fino a 10 Gbit/s e per quelle future con 40 e 100 Gbit/s. In questo modo, questo tipo di fibra supporta le applicazioni Ethernet, Fibre Channel e OIF.
La fibra OM4 è adatta a distanze maggiori di oltre 550 m a 10 Gbit/s o 300 m a 40 Gbit/s. Con una larghezza di banda modale effettiva (EMB, detta anche larghezza di banda laser) di 4700 MHz-km (molto più di quanto richiesto dall'IEEE), la fibra OM4 è particolarmente adatta anche per le distanze più brevi nei data center e per le applicazioni di calcolo ad alte prestazioni.
