Itinerary

• Day 1: Swiss boarding point > Basel
  • Travel to Basel. Exciting programmes await you in Basel. You can choose between various included guided walks* or stroll leisurely through the city and enjoy a coffee.
  • *Guided walks in Basel
    • Art in the city
      You stroll through the impressive open-air art gallery that the city of Basel has to offer. Numerous works adorn Basel's squares and streets. On this guided walk, you discover works by Jean Tinguely, Richard Serra, Bettina Eichin and many other artists.
    • St. Alban Valley – Little Venice
      Romantic, surprising, mysterious and steeped in legend. All these characteristics apply to the St. Alban district. This lovingly restored district is crossed by small canals and is a true hidden gem. Here you encounter past and present, traditional craftsmanship and early industrial buildings, old half-timbered houses and modern architecture, the medieval paper mill and the Museum of Contemporary Art, or simply city life, past and present.
  • *Guided walk through the Merian Gardens
    Guided tour of the Merian Gardens, a historic park on the outskirts of the city. Across 18 hectares, there is plenty to discover: Rhododendron Valley, English Garden, protected dry meadows, rare vegetable varieties and the largest iris collection in Europe.
  • Arrival at the port. The Excellence crew welcomes you with a welcome aperitif. At 3pm, your Excellence river ship departs. You dine with a view of the river. A delicious Excellence-style menu is prepared for you. Whatever you need during the journey – one word is enough.
• Day 2: Kehl (Strasbourg)
  Welcome to Strasbourg! Strasbourg Cathedral towers proudly above the winding streets of the picturesque Old Town. All around: the River Ill and its peaceful canals – particularly beautiful in the La Petite France district. On an included boat tour, you experience Strasbourg from the water.
• Day 3: Basel > Swiss boarding point
  In the morning, you arrive in Basel. After breakfast, return journey to your departure point.
