- D&C Red No. 33 (CI 17200) Water Soluble Dye
- How to use: Dilute the concentrated powder in distilled water and then mix into your product's water phase. Use in very small quantities until the desired color is achieved, as the color is highly concentrated. It is stable and heat tolerant in a formula pH range of 4 to 10.
- What it is: A synthetic azo dye and certified colorant, also known as Acid Red 33 or CI 17200, which yields a bluish-red color. It is provided as a water-soluble dry powder.
- What is it for: It is used as a colorant in a wide variety of personal care products and externally applied drugs, including mouthwashes, dentifrices, cosmetics, and hair dyes. It is approved for use in cosmetic lip products at a maximum of 3% by weight.
