Elasticated chelsea boots date back to 1851, but it was in the '70s that we gave them that rebellious DM's look. A practical shoe that's become a counter-culture classic, our chelsea boots are crafted in durable Smooth leather and rest on our grooved AirWair sole. This pair's easily recognizable silhouette is crafted in monochrome Smooth leather with black stitching and tonal AirWair tabs on the heels.

• The Smooth leather, tough and stiff to begin with, can be polished for absolute shine or left as is to proudly display the signs of time. The choice is yours. Clean with a damp cloth and nourish with Dr. Martens shoe polish.


• A DM's must-have. Our most recognizable Original sole. It's 3.17 cm high and features Dr. Martens' signature grooves. One of our most flexible soles, known for its comfort and stability.


• Our Goodyear-fitted models are heat-bonded at a temperature of 700°C and reinforced with our signature topstitching

Care instructions
Clean off dirt with a damp cloth, let dry then apply a Dr. Martens wax-based polish, neutral or colored depending on your shoes, using a Dr. Martens brush. (Our neutral polishes can be applied to all colors). Allow to dry, then polish vigorously with a second Dr. Martens brush for a more or less shiny result. (We recommend you use two brushes per color, one to apply the wax, the other, dry and clean, to polish and shine the leather for a better result).
