- The Velona scented candle is covered in raffia crocheted and embroidered by the women of a cooperative in Madagascar. A pattern of ochre and saffron yellow stripes, accented with black, gives the candle a highly decorative look that will fit easily into any vacation home. A black-embroidered raffia ruffle is placed at an angle on the object, reinforcing this fashion-inspired decorative perception.

- The scent of the Velona scented candle is warm, sunny and aquatic, with notes of orchid, Ylang-ylang and Fleur de sel.
- Raphia is a plant and endemic species harvested every year. The leaves are dried, then cut into long strips for dyeing and crocheting. Our women's cooperative in Madagascar has been making our Raphia candles for 8 years, under the impetus of our creative direction. The motifs are first designed and then produced by the crocheters in Madagascar. This annual project enables women to make a decent living and send their children to school.
- The quality of our scented candles requires a specific burning ritual. For each burn, it's important to wait until the entire surface has liquefied before extinguishing the candle. This will prevent the formation of craters, which are unsightly and make burning more difficult. The first burn of your candle will always take longer than subsequent burns. Allow time for the first layer of wax to liquefy completely. The duration of this stage varies according to the size of the candle.
- Also be careful not to burn the last 2 cm of wax, as a flame burning against the glass can cause it to shatter. We also advise against throwing used matches into the wax.
