  • Enjoy unpacking your new purchase! (Before you do anything, be sure to remove the labels and packaging.)
  • Wash your Le Creuset product in hot water with dishwashing liquid, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Cooking
  • Protect yourself - Always use oven mitts when handling any hot cookware.
  • We recommend using only Le Creuset's silicone, wood, or heat-resistant plastic accessories. Do NOT use metal knives or utensils as this may mark or scratch the enameled cast iron coating of your product.
  • Use the most appropriate size cooking fire for your product. This will allow you to achieve more even cooking and avoid damage to the handles and walls. This is especially true for induction cooktops: if you use the wrong cooking light, the cooktop may not "recognize" the product.
  • Cooking on moderate or low heat gives better results, even for browning or searing your ingredients. Let the pan gradually rise in temperature to intensify flavors and achieve even cooking. If you must use high heat, turn the setting down once the desired heat is reached.
  • Never slide the product across a glass cooktop/worktop, as this can damage the base of the utensil and scratch the glass. It is best to always lift your utensil to set it down, remove it or move it.
  • Cleaning
  • Allow your product to cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe up any spills that are on the base and sides of the product. If your mix has set, fill the product with hot water and dishwashing liquid and let it soak for 15-20 minutes before washing as usual.
  • Do not use scouring detergent, abrasive or metal coated sponges or hard bristle scrubbing brushes on any surface of your product.
  • Dry it well afterwards and store it in a dry place.
