- Carioca originally referred to the inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. The name suits the Carioca hammock so well, because it also comes from Brazil, from original craftsmanship. Colorful, Brazilian and with maximum hammock comfort. Only a handful of looms are capable of producing a canvas 1.75 m wide. Nearly 6,000 threads are woven together to produce this giant hammock, which is both extra stable and super-soft. The unique Jacquard weaving technique requires a very special loom. This makes the fabric extra soft and comfortable, and makes Carioca a visual highlight. The extra-thick cords are once again hand-bonded by a woven strip to compensate for the high point loads, giving the rug an extremely long service life.
