Recommended number of chickens:

For bantam chickens up to 2 kg, we recommend keeping up to 3 animals. For chickens over 2 kg, a maximum of 2 animals should be kept.

Species-appropriate housing:

This hutch is ideal for bantams. However, we recommend that the coop is not used as the sole chicken coop. Make sure you offer your bantams sufficient exercise and activity.

The BLV recommends a floor area of at least 2 m² to accommodate all the necessary equipment such as drinkers and feeders. This shed must be extended to a covered area of 2 m² in accordance with the BLV specifications.
