- Even if your mattress doesn't have a removable cover, you can still protect its surface by using a mattress protector. Choose a waterproof mattress protector to prevent liquid spills, stains and dirt. Make sure the mattress protector fits snugly over your mattress for maximum protection.

- Even without a removable cover, you can keep your mattress clean by vacuuming it regularly. Use a vacuum cleaner with a nozzle suitable for upholstered surfaces to remove dust particles, allergens and dust mites from the mattress surface. Do this at least once a month for best results.
- 4. Clean stains immediately
- If you accidentally spill something on your mattress, act quickly to prevent the stain from becoming embedded. Use a clean, damp cloth to dab the stain gently.
