- The TENCEL mattress protector combines tex tile innovation and natural fibre to guarantee comfortable, healthy nights. Its waterproof, breathable membrane provides an effective barrier against liquids while allowing air to circulate, ensuring a resting surface that's always cool and dry.
- TENCEL natural fibre
- TENCEL (Lyocell) is an eco-friendly fibre made from the cellulose of wood, mainly eucalyptus, grown in sustainable forests and plantations. This biodegradable fibre is particularly soft, resistant and hypoallergenic, with a higher moisture absorption capacity than cotton, allowing perspiration to be rapidly evacuated and preserving body heat in a natural way.
- 1. Mites need a humid environment to survive and reproduce. Tencel absorbs moisture (perspiration) much more effectively than cotton.
- 2. A barrier against bacteria
- On Tencel fibres, bacterial growth is drastically reduced (up to 2,000 times less than on some synthetic fibres) thanks to its smooth, dry surface.
- 3. A naturally smooth fibre
- Unlike wool or some cottons, which have "scaly" or fluffy fibres where dead skin (the food of dust mites) can cling, Tencel is an extremely smooth fibre. There are therefore fewer "food reserves" that remain trapped in the weave of the fabric.
