- Aperol Bitter
- The liqueur invented by brothers Luigi and Silvio Barbieri was first produced in Padua in 1919. But Aperol didn't really catch on until after the Second World War. Today, it is one of Italy's most popular aperitif drinks. It is made according to the top-secret original recipe based on rhubarb, cinchona, yellow gentian, bitter orange and aromatic herbs, which was developed over more than seven years. Because of its fruity, bitter taste, it is generally used as an aperitif or in cocktails - the Aperol Spritz is based on this spirit. Aperol Bitter is often compared to Campari, but its taste is less bitter.
