14487 - Tyrannosaurus Rex

Description

  • Tyrannosaurus rex looked very menacing, but it could hardly use its short front legs equipped with only two claws, since they did not even reach its mouth. Nearly seven meters high and almost thirteen meters long, the tyrannosaurus rex was probably not a good hunter, but a scavenger feeding on what other animals left behind. It had more than fifty teeth of a length exceeding 15 centimeters which it did not use to chew, but only to shred its food which it swallowed in large pieces. For better depth perception when searching for food, the tyrannosaurus rex's eyes were oriented forward, so that the field of vision of both eyes overlapped.
  • Fun facts
  • When the T-Rex lost one of its sharp teeth, it only took a few weeks for a new one to grow.
