- Watering your garden has never been so easy and accurate: The innovative Soil Moisture Sensor from GARDENA automatically ensures that your garden is watered as needed and in a water-saving manner by measuring the existing soil moisture and forwarding it to your watering control. If the soil is still sufficiently moist, the upcoming watering cycle is skipped. In this way, your plants automatically receive reliable and precise care, while you save water at the same time. The sensor is compatible with almost all GARDENA irrigation and multi-channel controllers. Thanks to its compact size, the battery-operated soil moisture sensor can not only be used in lawns or flower beds, but is also suitable for smaller plant pots. The sensor has a particularly low height and a flat surface so that it does not interfere with lawn care: both lawn mowers and robotic lawn mowers can easily drive over the sensor. The five-metre-long connection cable allows you flexible installation and can be extended as required with an extension cable available as an accessory. To give you an overview of the irrigation, you can see the sensor's measured values on the connected irrigation controller. A low battery level of the two AA batteries (not included) is displayed both on the irrigation controller and on the LED in the battery compartment. New batteries provide about one year of operation. This means that the soil moisture sensor can always work reliably and ensure water-saving irrigation in line with demand.
