- Bringing together technologies from our top-performing sock models, the all-new Aero Sock takes multisport performance to a whole new level, with air-defying speed. Wind-tunnel tested and optimized, the front fabric features structured lines to increase boundary layer (surface) turbulence and gain over a minute in a 180 km Ironman cycling race. Our brand-new Aero.dots form a line from the malleolus to the seam, directing airflow to reduce turbulence at the rear of the sock, lowering drag and saving a few extra watts. The foot structure follows the design of the Ultralight running sock, with lightweight, sweat-wicking mesh for optimal ventilation and thermoregulation in warm conditions. A revised and enlarged toe area brings greater comfort and proprioception to your run, while a special mesh around the heel offers gentle support when the pace quickens. Light arch support keeps the fabric from twisting and chafing, with extra sponge padding on the big toe to help you avoid black toenails and bruising. Underfoot, a smart pattern of 50% 3D.Dots and 50% Flat.Dots cushions impact and adds grip to the shoe. It also provides gentle micro-stimulation to increase venous return and delay fatigue, while ventilation is also improved as air circulates between the dots. At the back of the sock, an ultralight mesh takes care of thermoregulation without adding weight, and a full Achilles band in dot technology offers reassuring support in all disciplines. The cut is higher than that of our trail and running models for optimum aerodynamic performance within UCI limits. Silicone inserts around the seam prevent the material from slipping down when you switch from cycling to running.
