• «L'Elisir d'Amore» by Gaetano Donizetti on Saturday, 12.09.2026, 8pm
  Each year, La Scala entrusts a production to the forces of its Academy: the orchestra, soloists and choir take over the main stage in front of the Season audience. For 2026, a new production of Donizetti's work is planned, designed to later be adapted into a performance for young audiences. The production marks two important debuts: that of conductor Marco Alibrando, recently appointed Music Director of the Nationaltheater Weimar, and that of director Maria Mauti, who comes to La Scala after a first opera experience with «Norma» in Macerata.
• «La Traviata» by Giuseppe Verdi on Saturdays, 26.09.2026, 03.10.2026 and 10.10.2026, 8pm
  Both blessing and challenge for every major opera house, «La Traviata» holds a legendary place at La Scala – especially with the mythical 1953 production by Giulini, Visconti and Callas. In 1990, Riccardo Muti commissioned Liliana Cavani to create a new sumptuous version with sets by Dante Ferretti. This poetic staging returns in 2026 under the direction of Michele Gamba, with an exceptional cast: Nadine Sierra in the title role, Piero Pretti and Iván Ayón Rivas as Alfredo, Boris Pinkhasovich and Amartuvshin Enkhbat as Giorgio Germont.
• «Faust» by Charles Gounod on Sunday, 08.11.2026, 7.30pm
  Absent from La Scala since 2010, Gounod's «Faust» returns in a new co-production with the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Staatsoper Berlin and Teatro Real Madrid. The production marks the return of conductor Daniele Rustioni – absent from La Scala since «Il Trovatore» in 2014 – and the debut of director Johannes Erath, winner of the Abbiati Prize for Best Production (Rossini Festival 2024). On stage: Marina Rebeka and Alex Esposito, 2 artists highly appreciated by the Milan audience.
• Balanchine, Bausch, Stravinskij – ballet evening on Saturday, 14.11.2026, 8pm
  A unique and eagerly awaited event: for the first time, La Scala welcomes the legendary interpretation of «Sacre du printemps», created by Pina Bausch in 1975 for Tanztheater Wuppertal. It is a work of rare expressionist power, visceral and dramatic, a true foundation of contemporary dance. The evening opens with «Apollon» by Balanchine, a neoclassical masterpiece from 1928 that brought its creator international recognition at the age of just 24.
