Itinerary

- Day 1: Swiss boarding point > Lyon
Journey to Lyon. The Excellence crew welcomes you on board and greets you with a welcome aperitif. At 6.30pm, your Excellence river liner sets sail. Lean back and enjoy the moment. You dine with a view of the river. A delicious menu à la Excellence has been prepared for you. Whatever you need for your complete relaxation on this journey – just say the word. - Day 2: Tournon > Le Pouzin > Viviers
- By the train of the gorges, you travel through the wild and romantic Doux valley. In the afternoon, you undertake an excursion to the medieval village of Grignan. There, you taste exquisite summer truffles.

- Day 3: Arles
- You explore Arles – Provençal-Mediterranean flair, Roman heritage and that special light that inspired Vincent van Gogh. On a tour into the wild Camargue, you visit the Domaine Royal de Jarras. There, you learn everything about wine growing on sandy terroir and enjoy a tasting. In the evening, a special experience awaits you in the Camargue: a dinner at the farm of Olivier Fernay.

- Day 4: Arles > Port St. Louis
- During a hike through the Camargue, you discover the Pont de Gau nature and bird park and spend time in the coastal town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Alternatively, a tour takes you to the Côte Bleue to Martigues. Canals and beaches shape the idyllic cityscape. Afterwards, you taste local specialities.

- Day 5: Port St. Louis > Tarascon
- A day in Provence awaits you. In Aix-en-Provence, elegance meets baroque splendour. In Manosque, you stroll through the gardens, laboratories and production facilities of natural care products by L'Occitane. You enjoy lunch in Aix-en-Provence. Alternatively, you follow the scent of lavender into Occitanie and visit the distilleries and gardens of Un Mas de Provence.

- Day 6: Tarascon > Avignon
- At Château d'Estoublon, you taste premium wines and finest olive oils and learn exciting facts about the former Swiss master of the house. Alternatively, you spend a day by the sea in the Calanques National Park. By boat, you glide through the dreamlike bays of Cassis. A lunch is included.
- Note: On 18.07.2026, Château d'Estoublon is closed. As an alternative, you visit the village of Fontvieille with the Montmajour Abbey as well as the Moulin de Bédarrides.

- Day 7: Avignon > Châteauneuf-du-Pape
- During a guided walk through Avignon, you visit the famous Palace of the Popes. In the afternoon, you admire the impressive Roman aqueduct bridge Pont du Gard. The 275-metre-long bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and counts among the most significant structures of antiquity. Afterwards, you discover the charming medieval town of Uzès with its elegant Renaissance architecture and its rich cultural heritage. In Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you taste excellent red wines, accompanied by finest chocolate – a surprisingly harmonious pairing.

Alternatively, an excursion takes you into the "land of golden stones" to Oingt. The facades of the medieval village glow in the warm ochre yellow of the Pierres Dorées. From the Donjon tower, you enjoy a wonderful view with a refreshing glass of white wine.
