Tua Rita Redigaffi 2018. An iconic Italian red wine. Redigaffi 2018 is considered one of Italy's finest Merlots, often cited as an exceptional Super Tuscan. Color: Deep ruby red, intense and expressive. Nose: Complex and rich—ripe black fruits (blackberry, plum, blackcurrant), oriental spices, licorice, tobacco, cocoa, vanilla, sometimes balsamic and floral notes. The property

The story begins in 1984 when a couple of wine enthusiasts bought a property, initially intended to be a place to live in contact with nature, which quickly became a wine estate. Tua Rita was born. Over the years, as Tua Rita wines gained recognition, the estate expanded from two hectares to nine, then twenty, and today covers around thirty hectares. Tua Rita has now become an essential reference point for wines from Tuscany, a major wine-producing region in Italy.

The vineyard

The Tua Rita estate covers nearly 30 hectares in the Maremma Superiore (IGT) wine-growing area, in the Val di Cornia, ideally located between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Metalliferous Mountains of Tuscany.

The wine

Produced since 1994, Tua Rita's Redigaffi is made from grapes grown on soil whose mineral content gives it a rich aromatic palette mixed with a savory salinity.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are harvested manually in 15 kg crates. Aging takes place over a period of 18 to 20 months in new French oak barrels. After bottling, the wine undergoes further aging for several months before being released for sale.
