6 Bottles of Rosé Wine Minuty M 2024, Côtes de Provence, 75 cl

Description

  • Rosé wine is typically made from red grape varieties. However, unlike red wine where the grape skins are left in contact with the juice for an extended period, rosé wine has a shorter maceration time, allowing for only brief contact with the skins. This limited contact gives rosé its characteristic pink color, ranging from pale salmon to vibrant pink hues.Rosé wine is a highly versatile type of wine that pairs well with many dishes and occasions.

The Wine: The Art of Provençal Living

Minuty M perfectly embodies the spirit of Provence and the unmistakable style of the Minuty house. It is a cuvée that selects the best terroirs of the appellation, from the coastline to the foothills of Sainte-Victoire, illustrating the diversity and richness of Provence's landscapes. The link with Provence is also evident in the design of the bottle, understated since its redesign in 2014, but originally conceived in the 1960s by Monique Farnet, mother of Jean-Etienne and François Matton. This revolutionary bottle was embraced by the entire region, underlining the Matton-Farnet family's pioneering role in the development of Provence wines. Finally, Minuty M embodies the very essence of the Minuty style, where aromatic intensity combines with lightness on the palate. This iconic cuvée symbolises the purity and elegance that have been the hallmark of the house since its creation.

    The Winery: Château Minuty

Built during the reign of Napoleon III, Château Minuty was acquired in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet, who promised to restore it to its former glory. In 1955, the property was honoured by joining the exclusive circle of the 23 Crus Classés of Côtes de Provence wines. Subsequently, Monique and Etienne Matton crossed paths with the estate, bringing their dedication and helping to raise Château Minuty's reputation at the prestigious tables of the French Riviera. Today, the Matton brothers, Jean-Etienne and François, continue the family tradition while bringing a modern spirit to the estate. Château Minuty's vineyard extends over 160 hectares on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. The slopes of Gassin and Ramatuelle benefit from a Mediterranean climate, with sea breezes maintaining the health of the grapes throughout the year. The varied soils of shale and limestone provide an ideal terroir for growing the house's grape varieties. These vines, grown in a sustainable way, thrive in a preserved environment and benefit from a rich ecosystem. To ensure consistent quality, a careful selection is made from a collection of Grenache vines with an average age of 30 years.

    The Designation: Côtes de Provence

The Côtes de Provence is a sunny landscape of rolling vineyards caressed by the Mediterranean breeze. Located in the south-east of France, these hills are the cradle of a centuries-old winemaking tradition, where the art of growing and making wine has been passed down from generation to generation. This prestigious appellation embodies the very spirit of Provence: a subtle blend of sweetness and character. The wines that come from it reflect this harmony perfectly, capturing the brilliance of the sun and the freshness of the sea breezes. The emblematic grape varieties of the region, such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, combine to produce wines of natural elegance, with aromas of ripe fruit, wild herbs and delicate flowers. When you taste a Côtes de Provence wine, it's as if you're tasting the very essence of this sun-drenched land. Each sip reveals a little more of its history, its terroir and the craftsmanship that makes it a symbol of quality and authenticity.

    The Tasting: Sweet and Fruity

On the nose, elegant aromas of red fruits prevail. On the palate, a round and luxurious sensation envelops the taste buds, highlighting the crisp fruit. A hint of sweetness balances the liveliness of the wine. This cuvée is a captivating introduction to the essence of rosé Provence, with its freshness, generosity and irresistible fruity character. Minuty M Rosé Cuvée is ideal for all occasions. Served between 8 and 10°C, it can be enjoyed on the terrace or by the pool, accompanied by olives or any type of hors d'oeuvre: tapas, taramas, crackers, wasabi peas or vegetable crisps. It also goes well with summer salads such as the classic tomato and mozzarella or nicoise salad, as well as seafood such as shrimp, prawns and shellfish. It also makes a wonderful addition to snack-style starters.

    The Winemaking: Subtle and Aromatic

The M cuvée is carefully crafted to preserve its balance and freshness. Jean-Etienne and François Matton favour Grenache for its aromatic elegance, Cinsault for its freshness, Syrah for its complexity, and a touch of Tibouren, on the maritime border, for its delicate white-fleshed fruit aromas. Each element is carefully selected to preserve the liveliness of the juices and guarantee a refreshing and balanced tasting experience.
