Description
- Country: Italy
- Region: Toscana
- Vinification: Hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The grapes are vinified separately and also ripen separately for the first few months. The 3 varieties are then blended. Further maturation in used five-year-old barriques and 6 months of rest in the bottle. The production is around 8500 bottles per vintage.
- Culinary recommendation: Everything from Tuscany, of course, such as Affettati Misti - cold cuts and sausages. Grilled vegetables with olive oil and toasted bread. Papardelle with meat or seafood, Bistecca Fiorentina and grilled sea fish. Young cheeses made from cow's, sheep's or goat's milk. Spaghetti wine - as Johannes calls it!
- Aroma & flavor: The Merlot-Cabernet-Sangiovese triumvirate flatters the nose with lots of ripe fruit, harmony and fine sweetness, while the palate is dominated by a fruity melt and a light, flowing body, easy to drink, not too fattening, just right. A great everyday wine or, as Johannes says, a perfect spaghetti wine.
