- Aroma & taste: Diplomático Selección de Familia rum is a blend of different distillates, including around 90% virgin sugar cane honey and the rest molasses. Several types of distillation are used: pot still, batch kettle and barbet column still. This diversity makes it possible to obtain different characteristics for each component. The blend is aged for up to 12 years in old American or European oak bourbon and sherry casks (Oloroso or PX).
