- Aroma & Taste: Planteray XO Barbados rum - one of the best-loved rums around - is joined by an interesting newcomer: Planteray PXXO. Planteray PXXO 20th Anniversary is a cuvée of Barbados molasses rums of different production types and ages. Distilled at Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery in two-column and pot stills, the rums age for several years in bourbon and new white oak casks in the Caribbean before being shipped to France, where they continue to age for many years in Ferrand cognac casks. Final maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks adds complexity and depth.
