- Aroma & taste: Barcelo Imperial Premium Blend 40 Aniversario rum is an anniversary bottling - limited to around 15,000 bottles worldwide - to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Barcelo's Imperial collection, launched in 1980. The rum is a blend of different types of rum, some aged for up to 10 years in ex-bourbon casks. It is then matured for around 2 years in French oak barrels, and for several years in large French oak barrels to achieve additional depth and character.
