- Vinification: The grapes for the Prestigio are harvested by hand in 12 kg crates and quickly transported to the winery's cold store. There, the grapes are cooled before destemming to enable gentle processing. The traditional mash fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels before the Prestigio is matured for 16 months in French and American barrique barrels.
- Culinary recommendation: Perfect accompaniment to intense roasted aromas of grilled dishes - whether steaks, vegetables, BBQ pieces or poultry. Excellent with mature hard cheese - from Parmigiano Reggiano and Sbrinz to Pecorino or older Alpine cheese.
- Aroma & flavor: The nose reveals aromas of ripe red and black fruits (blackberry and plum). The fruity notes are complemented by mineral notes of graphite, spices and peppery notes. On the palate, the Prestigio shows a lot of smoothness and a complex, dense tannin structure.
