Description
- Country: France
- Region: Bordeaux
- Vinification: Matured in barriques
- Culinary recommendation: Wonderful with beef - from steaks and stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roasts from the oven. Excellent with mature hard cheese - from Parmigiano Reggiano and Sbrinz to Pecorino or older Alpine cheese.
- Aroma & flavor: Spicy bouquet with lots of pressure, peppery notes, precious woods, tobacco and red to blueberry fruit nuances. Rich on the palate, fleshy with plenty of substance, rich extract, demanding astringency. It remains true to itself and will always be rather masculine. One of the powerful Grand Crus in its category.
