Description
- Country: Switzerland
- Region: Ticino
- Vinification: Classic fermentation in 7000-liter wooden vats. Some of the harvested grapes are dried before pressing. The wine is then aged for at least 18 months in new barriques and matures for a further year in the bottle before being released for sale.
- Culinary recommendation: Wonderful with large pieces of meat from the oven or grill, also suitable for ragout and game, as well as mild Alpine cheeses.
- Aroma & flavor: The Rosso - Vinattieri's flagship. Deeply fruity aromas of blackberries, cassis and elderberries, with a hint of vanilla and subtle roasted aromas. Powerful and voluminous on the palate with a perfect tannin structure, melting and long finish. After ten years of ageing, aromas such as undergrowth, leather and mushrooms develop and the tannins develop a slight sweetness and are reminiscent of a mature Pomerol.
