- Vinification: Selection of the best grapes, temperature-controlled fermentation for 16 to 18 days. Ageing takes place for 18 to 24 months in new French barriques. After bottling, a further 12 to 14 months in the bottle before the Turriga is released for sale.
- Culinary recommendation: Wonderful with beef - from steaks and stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roasts from the oven. A wonderful accompaniment to braised dishes of all kinds - whether lamb gigot, beef shoulder, roast pork or ossobuco. Excellent with mature hard cheeses - from Parmigiano Reggiano and Sbrinz to Pecorino or older Alpine cheeses.
- Aroma & taste: The Turriga from Argiolas is a red wine from Sardinia full of character. Its deep ruby red color in the glass immediately catches the eye. On the nose, it delights with a multi-layered variety of aromas, including ripe fruit, spices, roasted nuances and a graceful vanilla note. On the palate, the wine reveals an impressive structure, characterized by a full-bodied and harmonious taste and fine tannins. The finish is particularly long and leaves a lasting impression.
