Description

  • The freshness and aromatic richness of an exceptional rosé champagne
  • The Estate
  • Founded in 1776 in Reims, the Louis Roederer Champagne House has remained family-owned and independent. After more than 200 years in business, the Louis Roederer House is still in the hands of the same family. Now led by Frédéric Rouzaud, who represents the seventh generation of the family, Louis Roederer embodies the excellence of Champagne wines worldwide through cuvées crafted like works of art.
  • The Vineyard
  • With nearly 241 hectares of vineyards, Maison Louis Roederer draws its strength from its extraordinary vineyard, consisting exclusively of Grands and Premiers Crus in the Marne Valley, the Montagne de Reims, and the Côte des Blancs. A true mosaic of terroirs, the Louis Roederer estate's vineyards are divided into 410 plots that reflect the full diversity of Champagne's soils.
  • The Wine
  • Louis Roederer's 2016 Vintage Rosé is crafted exclusively from the “La Rivière” vineyard, a renowned terroir located in the communes of Cumières and Chouilly.
  • The Vintage
  • A cool, wet spring gave way to a dry summer punctuated by heat waves in late August. The grapes, harvested at perfect ripeness, were of exceptional quality.
  • Winemaking and Aging
  • 21% of the wine was fermented in oak. Winemaking used the “infusion” technique, which involves macerating Pinot Noir juice with a small amount of Chardonnay juice, allowing for the perfect integration of the grape varieties. Malolactic fermentation was carried out on 4% of the wine. The dosage for this 2016 vintage Rosé champagne is 9 g/l.
  • Blend
  • Pinot Noir (62%)
  • Chardonnay (38%).
