- Vinification:\u00A0Réflexion R.021 Brut consists of 70% base wines from the 2021 vintage, supplemented by 30% reserve wines from 2020. The cuvée is composed of 49% Pinot Noir, 44% Chardonnay, and 7% Meunier. The grapes come from various premier cru vineyards in Champagne, including Montagne de Reims, Aÿ, Côte des Bar, Côte des Blancs, Montgueux, Côtes de Sézanne, and Vallée de la Marne. The champagne aged on its lees for an average of 36 months and was disgorged with a dosage of 7 g/L.
- Food pairing: Ideal as a stylish aperitif or paired with delicate, fresh dishes. It pairs particularly well with vegetarian canapés, king mackerel ceviche with yuzu marinade, shellfish such as lobster, or smoked carabinero shrimp. A tart with seasonal vegetables also complements the R.021 Brut perfectly with its delicate freshness and depth. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C, preferably in a glass with a wide bowl and narrow opening for optimal development of aroma and effervescence.
- Aroma & Taste:\u00A0\u00A0An elegant and versatile champagne with a fresh, pale yellow color and delicate golden highlights. On the nose, the R.021 Brut reveals clear citrus notes such as lime and mandarin, complemented by floral nuances reminiscent of white blossoms. More mature aromas of brioche and fresh hazelnut—a result of the carefully aged reserve wines—lend the bouquet additional depth. On the palate, it opens with pure freshness and a subtle salty note. The structure of the Pinot Noir and the soft, round character of the Meunier lend the wine power and fullness. The finish is long, balanced, and aromatically ripe.
