Description
- Type:
- Vinification: Hand-harvested Barbera grapes. Fermentation for 15 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of approximately 25°C. Malolactic fermentation in French oak tonneaux. In January, 50% of the wine is aged for 15 months in large barrels and the other 50% in 500-liter tonneaux, both made of French oak. Aging continues in the bottle for another six months.
- Food pairing: The perfect companion to the intense roasted aromas of grilled dishes—whether steaks, vegetables, BBQ cuts, poultry, or fish. Wonderful with beef—from steaks and stroganoff to steak tartare or slow-roasted cuts from the oven.
- Aroma & Taste: A wonderful Barbera from the hills around Serralunga d'Alba, embodying the character and structure of its terroir. Powerful and fresh, the nose evokes black cherries and nutmeg. The full-bodied and harmonious flavor softens the grape's characteristic acidity.
