Description
- Type:
- Winemaking:\u00A0Fully ripe, healthy grapes are selectively harvested by hand. Aged in Burgundian piéce barrels, 18 months on the lees.
- Food Pairing: Light-colored veal, rabbit, and kid goat ragout. Grilled saltwater fish, shellfish, and aged Alpine cheese.
- Aroma & Taste: Power, acidity, and minerality—all come together here. The Neusatz vineyard, situated on the southern slope of the Leitha Mountains, sees the sun's warmth balanced by fresh westerly winds, allowing the wine to shine in a unique light, as these winds also bring other highly beneficial qualities to the grapes. A spicy, intense nose of yellow fruits; on the palate, delicate yeast notes; and despite its 14% alcohol content and aging in Burgundian barriques, it retains a mineral freshness. Very juicy, concentrated, and well-balanced, it finishes with a long-lasting aftertaste.
