von Salis Malanser Chardonnay 2023 - 75 cl

Description

    Type:
    Country: Switzerland
    Region: Graubünden
  • Vinification: After a short maceration period, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place with selected yeasts at controlled temperatures of 15 to 17 °C. The wine is then aged for 12 months in barriques, 20% of which are new French oak barrels and 80% used ones. This aging process imparts elegance, body, and a delicate balance between fruit and oak to the Chardonnay.
  • Food Pairing: Enjoy this Chardonnay with delicate appetizers, fine fish such as salmon or walleye, creamy pasta and risotto dishes, as well as tender poultry or white meat. It also reveals its elegant balance between freshness and richness when paired with mild cheeses and Mediterranean specialties.
  • Aroma & Taste: The Malanser Chardonnay impresses with a complex bouquet in which fresh lemons and juicy apricots unfold. Delicate vanilla notes from the barrique lend it a seductive depth without masking the freshness of the fruit. On the palate, it is wonderfully harmonious: powerful and elegant at the same time, supported by a creamy texture and lively acidity that provide freshness and vibrancy. The long, balanced finish rounds out the tasting experience and makes this Chardonnay a wine that masterfully combines sophistication and drinking pleasure.
