Domaine Balland-Curtet Puligny-Montrachet 2021 - 75 cl

Description

    Type:
    Country: France
    Region: Burgundy
  • Vinification: The vineyards are located near the commune of Blagny, on the edge of the Meursault appellation. The two-part parcel faces east and lies at an altitude of 360 meters above sea level on the hills of Puligny-Montrachet on deep clay-limestone soil. The Chardonnay vines, which were planted in 1951, are harvested by hand and transported to the wine cellar in small containers. Maturation for 12 months in French oak barrels with 20% new wood. The oak barrels come from the surrounding forests of Allier.
  • Culinary recommendation: Pairs perfectly with seafood - from mussels to grilled pulpo or crustaceans such as lobster or prawns. Delicious with fish - from grilled sea bream and trout to steamed zander or a fine monkfish fillet.
  • Aroma & Taste: The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru presents itself in the glass with a crystalline color that is streaked with golden-green reflections. Even on the nose, it seduces with a subtle buttery spiciness that hints at its complexity. The attack on the palate is characterized by a delicate lightness before the wine develops an impressive volume. This development culminates in a long and precise finish that emphasizes the fine nuances and facets. Its youthful drinkability is remarkable, but it develops its true greatness with a maturation period of 5 to 10 years. During this period, the wine gains depth and harmony, resulting in an even more intense enjoyment experience.
